Christma...Er, Holiday Ads

Tis the season (sorry that's the tv cliche' we always have to use this time of year). It sounds like the negativity will disappear from our tv screens on Christmas Eve and Christmas (not so sure about our mailboxes, though). Many of the campaigns are out with warm and fuzzy holiday ads, so they don't completely go "dark" during holidays. Christmas is, after all, only nine days from the Iowa Caucuses.

Here are the ads we can find. Check 'em out. What do you think about them? Santa, kids, a "floating cross", and a little policy talk. It's all here...

Huckabee

Paul

Giuliani #1

Giuliani #2

Clinton

Edwards

Obama

HUCKABEE DENIES THE CROSS

We may no longer be shocked by what the media, politicians or christians attempt to pass as 'truth.' However, the antics during the past week have been jaw-dropping. Let us examine some more interesting commentary.

The machine continues to crank away as they comment on the Huckabee Christmas greeting posted on YouTube. Video title is "What Really Matters", which now has almost 900,000 views. http://youtube.com/watch?v=3tJr5p4tNTM . But, while the media continues to rant, what more can be said of Huckabee's advertisement?

Matt Drudge was first with the headline titled the 'floating cross.' The video had 248 views when it hit the Drudge Report. Wonder who tipped Drudge on that one? Huckabee himself? Nearly one million views later, the subsequent spin on the video became that the not so 'subliminal' cross, glowing behind Huck's head, is being attacked by those awful godless ACLU types. They are trying to take expression of religion out of the public square, many say. The majority are ignoring the plain truth that Huckabee is pandering to the 'Christian right' and then he 'denies the cross' pun intended. When confronted, he exclaimed 'it's a bookshelf.' MSNBC News:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Tm59600r_E Huck does have a minor in communication along with extensive experience in television. Most certainly, he is aware of the effects used in this professionally produced piece. I mean, doesn't everyone have a Christmas tree, with a lighted empty bookshelf, in their home, that all rotate in unison behind their head? Obviously, Huckabee's idea that people are too dim to catch the truth must be correct if you look at what the American Family Association (AFA) sent out this morning announcing: "NBC says some find bookcase and Christmas lights offensive… Candidate wishing voters Merry Christmas upsets some folks." AFA concludes that the problem is hostility toward the Christian faith. AFA closes their newsletter with an invitation to complete their lopsided poll.

On top of this, most media outlets ignore that governor Huckabee was reported to have fired a law enforcement official who dared to investigate Huckabee's son for torture and killing of a dog http://www.newsweek.com/id/78241 . Huckabee disputes the claim, and labels the officer a typical disgruntled employee. However, FBI involved stated the officer was of good character with a good work history.

When the heat was on for his controversial religious question to Romney, Huckabee made excuses. Then, when confronted, Huckabee apologized contending that a man's religion was not important to lead the country. To say that a man's core belief makes no difference is simply preposterous. In effect, he is denying ...THE Cross! What greater vanity can there be than to seek power through the mis-appropriation of God's name for political division and gain! Huckabee is prostituting his 'faith' and as a Christian I am ashamed of him. In addition, Huckabee's horrible record speaks for itself, which is another topic altogether.

The 'Christian Wrong' is blinded by anyone who simply claims Christ. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them-Mat 7:20. There is no discernment in the American 'church' as they foolishly follow their apostate 'Purpose Driven' programs. I wonder how many christians in Sudan, Syria or Israel, where they are praying for survival, are following the false PD ways or that of Joel Osteen's grinning vomit-' Your Best Life Now'! 2Peter 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

And yes, Huck and his own church are 'Purpose-Driven' and Huckabee's campaign page has a glowing semi-endorsement from the PD Pope himself, Rick Warren.

http://www.mikehuckabee.com/index.cfm?FuseAction=Blogs.View&Blog_id=658 If 38 million baptists turn out to vote for Huckabee, then it is likely that he will be the next president. One must realize that a vote for Huckabee is a vote for Rick Warren. Warren then becomes the president by proxy.

In addition, a vote for Huckabee is vote for Rick Warren's P.E.A.C.E. plan, http://www.crossroad.to/charts/millennium-goals-peace.htm For more detail on this cult that has taken over christianity, read books: Whose Driving the Purpose Driven Church and Deceived on Purpose are highly recommended. Oh, and thank you World Net Daily for exposing the many lies of Rick Warren on his failed Syria 'mission' last year.

Further confounding, does anyone question why Pat Robertson endorsed Giuliani or why Bob Jones III endorsed Romney? What about 'christian' love affairs with Bakker, Swaggart and Haggard? Who was responsible for putting Jimmy Carter and GW Bush in office? And, they continue to defend Bush ignoring the fact that the man is deceived in believing himself a Christian. In his Youtube video interview 2004 with ABC's Charles Gibson, Bush plainly states his belief is that there is 'more than one path to God.' He continued with 'we all pray to the same God (even Muslims)… just different names' in more recent statements. The video has since been removed due to "terms of use violation." Transcripts should be available in ABC News archive. Is one a Christian who does NOT believe that Jesus Christ is the only way? John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

WAKE UP CHURCH AND REPENT! Time is indeed short. 1 Peter 4:17 For the time [is come] that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if [it] first [begin] at us, what shall the end [be] of them that obey not the gospel of God?

The GOOD NEWS IS! 2Ch 7:14 If ' my people' (italics added) which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

The above writing, in part, is a compilation of anonymous comments found among the 8,000 on the Huckabee Christmas greeting/advertisement video.

hen the "talking heads" on FOX News are all touting & pushing for Obama as Democratic Presidential Nominee
- I have to ask Why?

I don't think it's because they plan on voting for him if he is the nominee.

I believe the obvious answer to that question is the correct answer: FOX News/right-wing Republicans want Obama to be the Democratic nominee because they believe they can beat him & retain the Presidency.

Obama's appeal may be wide but does not possess depth & duration over time. Once FOX News & other Right-Wingers like Chris Matthews & Joe Scarborough STOP touting Obama as "the best" Democratic Nominee & START defaming and smearing, as I have no doubt the Republicans will do, then his chances of being elected are exceedingly slim - considering the plethora of hatefilled smears & distortions currently appearing primarily on the internet - the Republicans are going to paint a really ugly, ugly picture of Obama.
