Had Enough, Part 2?

Is the Obama lovefest getting to be a bit much for the Gov?

Here's a snippet from a NY Times piece (I have to give the Times props. You know, the company still owns our place)...

Tom Vilsack, the governor of Iowa, chatted easily with constituents, watching the news media crush from afar. Mr. Vilsack, who is also considering a presidential bid and recently came in fourth place in a poll of Iowa caucusgoers, played down the response to Mr. Obama, describing it as “certainly predictable.” Asked whether the senator should run, Mr. Vilsack replied, “That’s a question you’re going to have to ask the voters,” and walked away.

Ouch! I think Mr. V needed a NAP!

This is going to get very nasty! What are the chances an Independent could make a showing since our two main parties have failed us?

It's simply because Obama is a rookie in national politics and still kicks Vilsacks butt at every turn. Think that may be a hint to not run. Unless... He is vying for some other national seat, liek cabinet member. Ya, I can see him doin that. Who do we not want for leaders? Those who want it very badly.

My only hope with Obama? I hope he doesn't sell out like the 98% of washington that is bought and paid for, lock stock and barrel.

I've been telling all my my family and anyone else that will listen for at least few years now Obama will be our next Vice President. I voted for Bush the last two times. I'm not a Republican nor do I consider myself a Democrate. I just thought both times that Bush was better then the alternatives. I am going with a conspiracy theory here that I think is pretty accurate. I can't rememeber what his name is but the democrate that was here running for president(I want to think it was John Edwards but that doesn't sound right) he was on the stage with Harkin after winning the Iowa cauccuses (SP?) and he did that long rant how he was going to win every state and then take Washington and did the pro wrestling screech. I think the higher up Democrates knew that he had momentum to actually dethrone George W. especially after his spirited speach. The Democrates came out and painted him as a loose cannon and made sure John Kerry was thier man. They put a weak aponant up against G.W. conceeding the presidential race. They knew that America would be so sick of Bush and the Republicans after another 4 years that Hillery and Obama would be a shoe in for the next 4-8 years. I really like Obama but he knows he has no chance for the Presidency when Hillery is slated for the job. As far as Vilsak goes, he doesn't have a chance and he knows it but he knows if he can act like he is running and bows out eventualy he will get a sweet cabinet job down the road.
